NOTICE OF CANDIDATE FILING PERIOD
LA HABRA HEIGHTS COUNTY WATER DISTRICT

TWO (2) Full Four-Year Terms NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the filing period for Candidates to elected positions on the Board of Directors for La Habra Heights County Water District, 1271 North Hacienda Road, La Habra Heights, CA. 90631, County of Los Angeles, California (hereafter "the District") is open. Declarations of Candidacy forms for the election are available from the Register-Record/County Clerk no earler then Monday, July 18, 2022, and no later than Friday, August 12, 2022. An election, if necessary, will be held November 8, 2022, for two (2) full four-year terms. Candidates must be elgible to vote within the District and are required to file with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Record/County Clerk not the District. Any elgible party wishing to file can only do so during the above-mentioned filing period. The Los Angeles County Registar-Recorder/County Clerk is located at 12400 Imperial Highway, Norwalk, California, 90650, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 A.M.

History

La Habra Heights County Water District was established in 1976 succeeding La Habra Heights Mutual Water Company. The Mutual Company was formed in 1919. The District currently serves water to 1,983 meter connections covering 6 square miles of land. Approximately 5,560 people are served by the District’s water system. The District occupies approximately 3,904 acres which includes the vast majority of the City of La Habra Heights, small portions of the City of Whittier and unincorporated Los Angeles County in the Southern California.
